Just an example

This is a good example of why I am very uncomfortable with the Religious Right implying that "good Christians" vote Republican. I think the clip speaks for itself. I read about it in my Sojo Mail. You may have to sign up for an account to read that, I'm not sure.

That pastor was an idiot. He obviously had a personal agenda. In high school, my lit teacher asked, "Does God choose sides in war?" I can only postulate that the same is true in politics, just as pawpaw stated.

Some fellow political-type bloggers and I have been discussing this over at this blog.

I don't know exactly how to do the code to make that a link. Anyway, it's a shame that one church makes all the others look bad. As a member of the religious right I have attended lots and lots of churches and have never once heard a pastor endorse a candidate or party from the pulpit. They will, occasionally speak out against abortion or homosexuality along with all the other sins we ourselves commit everyday. I'm with Pat Robertson who when asked if Jesus would be democrat or republican said "I think Jesus is above politics."
