It's official

Yup, it's official, I'm peeved. The stupid guy never called. Then I found out that he wasn't calling to bring us a new stove, only to look at our existing one since our landlord apparently doesn't believe us that the GOLDENROD colored one, (as if that doesn't tell you how old it is) with only three working burners and not a one that doesn't give off an AWFUL ODOR when we use it, needs to be replaced. THEN!!! then our landlord implies that maybe we'd like to pay for part of the new one!! WHAT????? I'm sorry, did I misunderstand?? So, if we pay for it, we can take it with us when the time comes for us to move?? aarrgh. Patience, patience.....

Really, beyond the frustration part, the whole request for a new or even new/used stove, came after we had The Boy. It is a safety thing. I'm nearly positive that and odor coming from each and every working burner is not a sign of a safe stove. This thing has got to be at least thirty years old. And then for them to imply that we should pay for some of it....I'm just insulted. I feel like I'm expecting too much.

In the mean time, I'll be keeping the camera ready in case it starts on fire.

Sweet Goldenrod stove from heaven! It really accents the wallpaper nicely, dont'cha think? Your landlord is out of his mind to suggest a renter chip in. It's tax deductible for him, not you.

I agree with Robyn, and I'd like to throw in that your landlord sounds like a nutjob to make that suggestion. I hope you didn't agree to it.
