Happy May Day

Wow, it's been a while. I'm not sure why, but I seem to be in a blogging slump. I could blame it on the pregnancy, I guess ;) Hopefully, I'll snap out of it soon, because my lack of blogginess is getting on my nerves.

Here's a great story for you, though, and I promise to all family to get pictures of The Boy updated by the end of this week...PROMISE!! Oh, yeah, and whoever is trying so desperately to work me into a political arguement, please email me, and show yourself (you coward!!), so that we might continue our discussion withough clogging the blog, k? Since obviously you know me personally and are trying to egg me on.

Okay, so on with my story, or, my husband's story: Last Tuesday, my husband's very nice, $400 bike got stolen while he was teaching music lessons at the local music center. It was a chilly day, but we only live a little ways away, and so it wasn't a big deal. He left it no more than an hour and a half, locked up, and when he went back outside to come home, it was gone. He called me, we were devastated, because finances would not allow us to replace the bike with one of the same value.

So, we try to eat dinner, we mope, and after Isaac is in bed, Terry decides to go out and look for it, since there is so not so great housing complexes right behind the music center. There is a lot of road construction going on in that area as well, and so he has some trouble getting down one road in particular. Yet, he feels driven to find a way. Well, low and behold, once he get's down that street, he finds his bike!! He calls me, calls the police, and waits for them in a nearby parking lot.

Now at this point, I'm praying, because I had no idea how my dear husband was going to prove to the police that it was his bike, but I printed out some pictures of it, just in case. Well, he calls back and says he's coming home to get his lock key, and he grabbed the pictures at the same time.

When he returns, the police are in the house, and have two men in handcuffs!! The officer tells Terry that since the man "didn't know anything about the bike" he couldn't be arrested for theft. Terry says, "Well, since he doesn't know where the bike came from, he won't care if I steal it back!" The officer agrees (after looking at the bike lock key and pictures), and then explains that there were warrants out for the guys' arrests, and that was why they were cuffed.

Cool story, eh?
